My Story

In 2023, I found myself deeply depleted.

I was working as an organizational health consultant, pouring my energy into strategy, problem-solving, and supporting others—while quietly running on empty. At the same time, I was navigating the demands of life with young children. On the outside, everything looked meaningful and productive. On the inside, I felt stretched thin, disconnected, and exhausted in a way that rest alone couldn’t fix.

Eventually, my body made it impossible to ignore my burnout. What followed was a season of health challenges that didn’t come with clear answers. My energy was so low that I couldn't make it through the day without lying down for several hours. I would also have gastrointestinal attacks every few weeks that left me in bed for days. For 9 months, not a month went by where I wasn't sick. I had multiple ultrasounds, doctor appointments and a colonoscopy. I tried to "push through" and “figure it out” - but no answers came. No diagnosis. My doctors and these traditional approaches left me feeling unseen and hopeless.

So I did something unfamiliar: I slowed down—completely. That season became an unexpected turning point.

I spent months resting, reflecting, and exploring new ways of caring for myself. I began to listen more closely—to my body, my limits, and the quieter inner voice I had long ignored. I was drawn toward more holistic practices—breathwork, meditation, energy work, and deeper forms of self-awareness.  I sought holistic, natural therapies including eastern medicine, herbal supports and native wisdom. At first, the changes were subtle. Then, with consistency and commitment, things really shifted.

I started to feel like myself again—but in a new, more grounded way. I learned how to honor my limits instead of override them. I discovered that healing wasn’t about fixing myself, but about reconnecting with parts of me that had been neglected for years. I also experienced a deepening sense of spiritual connection—not in a rigid or formulaic way, but as a quiet, steady presence that I could trust and return to.  It felt like a homecoming.

As I continued this work, I became increasingly curious about the deeper layers of healing—especially the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I was introduced to Reiki, a gentle form of energy work, and approached it with both openness and discernment. What I discovered surprised me. Rather than feeling disconnected from my spiritual foundation, this work deepened it. It became another way of listening, of being present, of holding space for healing to unfold. It felt less like “doing” and more like allowing—creating an environment where the body and spirit could do what they are naturally designed to do: move toward wholeness.

I began to see how many people are quietly carrying pain—physically, emotionally, spiritually—often without spaces where they feel truly safe to process and heal. I felt a pull to create that kind of space - not one that tells people what to believe, but one that meets them where they are. A space rooted in compassion, presence, and deep respect for each person’s unique journey.

Over time, I trained in Reiki and other integrative practices as tools to support others in their own healing process. What matters most to me isn’t any single technique—it’s creating a safe, grounded, and supportive environment where real healing can happen. Because as a Wounded Healer, I’ve lived both sides of this. I know what it feels like to be stuck, exhausted, and searching for answers. And I know what it feels like to begin to heal—to feel your body soften, your mind quiet, and a sense of hope return.

Today, my work is about holding that space for others to heal, come home to themselves, and become whole again. I believe healing is not only possible, but natural when we are given the right support. And I believe that even in our most difficult seasons, there is an opportunity for profound transformation.
